Since I go there often, I purchased an annual pass (7,000 yen).
There are 3 exchanges for food and discounts for companions.
I go to Iwate Safari Park to see my favorite Bengal tiger [Ai-chan].
It's a little difficult to get there without a rental car or your own car. It costs about 4,000 yen from Hanaizumi Station, and about 8-9,000 yen from Ichinoseki. There are no waiting taxis at Hanaizumi Station or the park, so you must make a reservation by phone.
It might be better to take a bus that takes you around the park, as there will be explanations and feeding time.
Entrance fee: 2,700 yen, bus: 800 yen, food: 1,000 yen.
…I went by taxi, so it was quite expensive😅
However, when you ride the bus, the herbivores come closer to you as they look for food, so it's fun and gives you a sense of realism.
Carnivores cannot get food, so they are a little far away. We recommend a camera with a telephoto function.
The train departs from and arrives at Hanaizumi Station approximately once every two hours. If you have a budget, it is easier to take a taxi that departs from and arrives at Ichinoseki.
I surprisingly enjoyed it!
My son and I came here today and got on the first bus.
The bus driver was fun and energetic, so I was able to enjoy quizzes and other things with my kids 😄
I want to come again 🥰
Visited during my first trip to Iwate. At first glance, it looks like a deserted place, but I was able to see various animals up close on the bus, and it was great to see so many cute animals. …
I didn't have a car so I took a taxi!
The safari section from Hanaizumi Station cost 4,110 yen one way. …
I got on the bus. Unfortunately, it started raining halfway through the trip, but the driver and other staff tried to make us have fun, so I was left with a good impression.
You can observe herbivorous animals up close and experience feeding them.
Here you can see giraffes up close and even feed them.
We also recommend riding on the back of an Asian elephant! …
You can feed the giraffes and ride the statues.
